Recycled (rag) denim quilt
Someone posted a tutorial about a recycled denim (rag) quilt using denim from old jeans and squares of flannel fabric.
My question is about the construction of the individual blocks.
Are the wrong or right sides of the squares of denim & flannel layered together?
Instead of using 2 fabric squares, could I use batting for the middle piece, thereby using just a denim & a flannel square to make the block?
Do the front & the back side have the frayed seams or does just the denim side show the fray?
Also, near the completion of the project, how is the outside edges of the quilt finished?
